Dollar-per-gallon figures for the EU are data.here's own conversion and are not published by the Commission or the ECB. EU tax shares are calculated from the Commission's prices with and without taxes. Prices are not adjusted for inflation. Both prices include taxes. U.S. regular and Euro-super 95 are different grades. The Commission says comparisons between countries "shall be carefully made" and are "of limited validity" because of differences in product quality, marketing and market structure.
